Conor holds a BA (Hons) in Politics from Newcastle University, a PGCE in general primary education from Leeds University and a Master of Arts degree (Merit) in Primary Maths Education from Teesside University. He has almost forty years of primary and secondary Maths teaching experience in state and independent schools in across the UK, including three years spent as Head of Key Stage 2 Maths in one of England’s leading preparatory schools, Aysgarth in North Yorkshire. Outside of teaching Conor is a huge rugby fan and a lifelong supporter of the Ireland national rugby team.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND APPROACH

Conor has huge experience of Maths and English at KS2 and KS3. He has prepared over 150 pupils for Year Seven entry to schools including Nottingham High School, Nottingham Girls’ High School, Trent College, Ratcliffe College, Leicester Grammar School and Loughborough Grammar School with a near 100% success rate.

Conor’s style of tuition is calm and supportive and involves the student’s family as a key to its success. He references and builds on school studies, empowering pupils to feel confident and positive. Conor’s decades-long experience in state and private schools gives him the ideal inside knowledge and background to help prepare students for external exams and countless families have contacted him after successful outcomes asking that he tutor younger siblings or recommended him to friends.
