TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND APROACH
Abdullah has taught in secondary schools for 4 years as a teaching assistant in Mathematics, Chemistry and IT. At University he spent over a year tutoring within the Peer Assisted Study Support workshops and Buddy Mentor Scheme for first year Mechanical Engineering Mentees. Abdullah is currently holds a student ambassador role, teaching lessons to students in the local community.
Abdullah’s approach to tutoring begins with learning about the tutee’s needs and tailoring a plan that can help bring the best out of them, not just for the tuition’s duration but beyond.
I started as a teaching assistant at my secondary school voluntarily and found it fun and beneficial to help young students learn and believe they can achieve with study and hard work.
My favourite books are The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, The 5AM Club by Robin Sharma and I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons by Kevin Hart and Neil Strauss.
