BACKGROUND

Amir attended Wallington County Grammar School where he achieved all A* in both his GCSEs and A-Levels (Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics, Physics and AS Chemistry), going on to the University of Warwick, where he gained a first class degree in Mathematics.

Amir enjoys learning languages and speaks Urdu, French and Spanish. Other eclectic interests outside of tutoring include badminton, politics, improvised theatre, programming and debating.

A qualified coach and mentor, Amir is certified by the ICF.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND APPROACH

At 22, Amir decided to walk away from the high-flying corporate career at Mckinsey to pursue his passions, and, amongst other things founded his own tutoring company. Since then, he has amassed over 300 hours of tutoring experience, with 5-star reviews from every client, as well as teaching at a leading independent school in North London.

Amir firmly believes in setting realistic goals and reflecting on areas needing improvement. He tailors his teaching effectively and offers a personalised approach to ensure each student receives the guidance needed to excel in their studies. His teaching philosophy centres on building a strong foundational understanding of the subject, and he emphasizes the importance of grasping underlying concepts.

He has guided numerous students from C grades to A* in A-level Mathematics, Physics, and Economics, and his track record speaks volumes about his ability to elevate students’ academic performances.
