BACKGROUND

Anandan holds a Master’s degree in Spanish/French Philology and Linguistics. (Teaching Qualification), a Translation and Interpretation degree and an Italian language degree – all from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Outside of tutoring Ananda likes to dance, read, write and paint.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND APPROACH

Ananda specialises in preparing student for GCSE, A-Level, IB and University Spanish examinations. She has taught Spanish-EFL for 15 years online, one-to-one and assisted students at top schools in Spain and the UK including Eton, Westminster, Harrow, Haberdashers, North London Collegiate and St Paul’s as well as Oxford and Cambridge University. Ananda is well versed in all UK exam boards, (AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge, OCR, WJEC..), and the majority of her tutees achieve grades 8-9/A*

A patient and approachable mentor, Ananda takes a direct and creative approach to tutoring. Focusing on practical dialogue from daily-life, Ananda encourages students, builds their confidence and self-esteem through conversation, listening, comprehension, repetition, reading and translation – finding the logic and structure in the language.
