TEACHING EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

Jessica has a wealth of teaching experience, having worked with many Chemistry A-Level (OCR, Edexcel) students, as well as Biology A-Level (CIE, AQA) students. Previous to Expert Tuition, Jessica tutored at her university, helping students with essay writing and allowing them to gain a better sense of what they were writing about, proofreading and brainstorming ideas. In addition she has also taught GCSE subjects such as Maths, Biology and Chemistry.

WHY TUTORING?

Jessica enjoys tutoring because she loves to connect with her students and to make them look forward to their sessions as they can have fun, as well as learn. She also loves breaking down concepts in simple and humorous ways so students can quickly remember and understand.

Jessica is passionate about tutoring because she believes that the current education system requires a more individualised approach.

TEStimonials

“Jess is an excellent tutor! She is always very prepared for the lesson with notes or questions to run through depending on what topic it is. She always explains everything very carefully and ensures that they understand it very well. The run throughs of topics are very thorough and she goes through every single point on the syllabus which is perfect for chemistry. She is very knowledgeable and has a fantastic ability to teach as she can understand the student’s perspective. Also, she connects very well with the students and encourages them in their studies. We can’t recommend her more.” – Mother of A-Level Chemistry student
