Background
Mohammed studied Economics at the University of Surrey and graduated with a First Class (Hons) degree. He also completed a Masters degree in Economics at SOAS, University of London.
On graduation in 2010, he started working at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a Diplomat Economist. He spent eight-years travelling and working in countries across the globe, providing policy advice on economic reform and development.
On his return to the UK, Mohammed began teaching and moved into tutoring full-time.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
Mohammed has been tutoring GCSE/A-Level Economics full-time for over 3 years and has thousands of hours of experience. Mohammed is fully invested in and committed to all the students he takes on from day one.
Mohammed is passionate about Economics and loves teaching, he always aims to make learning Economics fun and enjoyable.
In his lessons, Mohammed includes real world examples to apply and simplify economic theories. His teaching approach involves discussing and provoking debate to stimulate critical thinking. He focuses on exam practice from day one to ensure his students grasp the right techniques to secure the highest marks.
Mohammed takes on around 20 students per year and ensures they are fully prepared to achieve an A*.

He derives satisfaction from the fact that more than 90% of his students achieve A-A* grades. Over the past two years, Mohammed has been our most requested tutor and with good reason – he brings life to the subject and motivates his students to aim for the very highest grades. As a Senior Tutor, his diary gets fully booked very quickly with many parents getting in touch over a year in advance to reserve a slot with him.
